How does singer Ciara maintain her fabulous figure? She says no to liquid diets. In an interview with OK! magazine, the 23-year-old dished out her secrets to staying fit and healthy.
The Grammy-winning artist admitted to the British weekly magazine that she once attempted the cayenne pepper diet, but couldn’t get the liquid down her throat.
“I attempted to, but I was like, ‘I just cannot do it’ because I love food too much. It would be so hard to take away physically eating food. Drinking a liquid would not work for me.”
And according to Ciara, it’s all about what you put into your body. The Austin, Texas, native drinks loads of water with her protein, greens and complex carbohydrates (such as brown rice, wheat toast and wheat noodles) diet. She makes sure her diet is “protein-driven” by including grilled chicken, steak and fish while adding greens such as broccoli, string beans, salad and lettuce into her diet.
Ciara also balances her diet with a good workout at the gym. When she’s really focused on a goal weight, she’ll work out for one hour five or six days a week, focusing on lunges and squats.
“When I work out, I love to do my squats and my lunges because it’s all about the tush,” she told OK! magazine.
